The tattooed areas can be treated in a targeted manner with the help of a short-pulsed ruby laser and a studio system laser Asclepion.

Skin cells pigmented by the ink absorb the laser light significantly more than normal skin. This heats them up so much in a short time that the cells burst. The immune system’s scavenger cells take care of the disposal of the destroyed cells and absorb the remaining pigments. The Tate is fading. Since the laser pulses are extremely short, the surrounding tissue remains undamaged. During the process, small superficial bleeding occurs, which dries up, crusts over and falls off again after 1-2 weeks.

Due to the different wavelengths with which the lasers work, both dark colors (1064nm laser) and red, yellow and orange colored tattoos (532nm laser) can be treated.

The number of sessions required depends on the style and size of the tattoo. A treatment to fade a tattoo before a cover-up is also possible.

The risk of scarring is very low. Forcible removal of the crusts should be avoided. The low risk of infection can be further reduced by using disinfectant creams and avoiding contamination.
